***New Multi Variation Merger tool now available***

31 October, 2012 | 03:06PM GMT

From today, sellers in the Fashion category will be able to use Multi Variation Merger to create new multi-variation listings based on their current individual listings.

Multi-variation listings are a key format for Fashion sellers: helping you to reduce costs, save time and boost your sales. By using the new Multi Variation Merger tool, you can keep the Best Match score associated with your most popular individual listing, which will mean increased visibility for your other items that may have performed less strongly in the past. Your new multi-variation listing will also be easier to manage, plus you’ll save money by paying only one insertion fee per Multi-variation listing and not multiple insertion fees for each variation.

Multi Variation Merger helps you merge your individual listings to create a new multi-variation listing quickly and easily using a simple 3-step process.

You can:

  1. Select which individual listings to merge.
  2. Review and edit your new multi-variation listing.
  3. Merge: make your new multi-variation listing available to buyers and end the old individual listings.

Go to My eBay to try Multi Variation Merger.

Find out more about multi-variation listings and how to use Multi Variation Merger. You can also leave us feedback directly from the tool’s page.

The eBay Team

***Original: View Item page merchandising***

07 September, 2012 | 01:15PM BST

Hello,

Starting from this week, we'll be testing a new merchandising placement above the item description on the view item page.

We'll rotate the same, related or similar items from your own inventory or from other sellers. Your items will also appear on the view item pages of other sellers. Pending results from this test, we may decide to introduce this new design permanently.

We hope this will inspire buyers to make a purchase based on what others have viewed or bought, improving their shopping experience and helping to increase sales across eBay.co.uk.

***Original: Certain web browsers are unable to upload images using the Quick Sell / Easy Lister / Simple Lister form***

17 October, 2012 | 03:26PM BST

We're aware of a new issue where sellers using the Quick Sell / Easy Lister / Simple Lister selling forms cannot upload images. It's been reported that members are able to select their image, but the popup window appears to remain stuck with “Uploading photo” status.

This is affecting members using Internet Explorer 8, Mozilla Firefox 16 and Google Chrome. The current workaround is for sellers to use the Advanced Sell form instead of the Easy Lister / Quick Sell form.

The issue has been identified and we're working on a fix for this and will inform you when it is resolved.

We thank you for your patience

Regards,
The eBay Team

***Original: Issues with uploading images using the Mozilla Firefox 16 web browser ***

16 October, 2012 | 12:35PM BST

We're aware that members using Mozilla Firefox 16 or higher are having issues uploading images to their new listings. The issue has been identified and we're working on a fix for this and will inform you when it is resolved.

In the meantime there are a number of workarounds available:

  • If you are using Firefox 16, switch back to an older version. You can also switch to a different browser like Internet Explorer, Chrome, Opera and Safari (for MAC users).
  • Instead of using the "Sell an Item" option use "Sell Similar" from another listing.
  • If you are using the Basic up-loader switch to the Standard up-loader and vice versa.
