We want to let you know about some upcoming changes taking place in the week commencing 15th June 2009. You’ll be able to find out more details about each change in the announcements following this one. The areas affected are detailed below.
Increasing buyer confidence & seller protection
- Expanded protection for sellers when they use PayPal.
- Introducing PayPal as payment option on all listings on eBay.ie.
Better listings to drive more sales
- New item detail page available on eBay. Get your listings ready now.
- New way to list using Buy It Now enables you to offer all variations of one product - e.g. colour and size - in a single low-cost listing.
- Introducing free pictures in the Clothes Shoes & Accessories and Home & Garden categories, and a new webfile upload option.
- New Smart FAQ to answer buyers’ top 20 questions before they contact you.
- Customise item specifics when the available choices don’t apply to your item.
Policy & other changes to selling on eBay
- Increase in price of listings will no longer affect recent sales score for Best Match.
- Mandatory specification of postage time.
- Category and items specifics changes - find out if your listings are affected.
- Policies relating to multiple-item listings and duplicate items changed.
