***Updated: New Year, New-look eBay.co.uk Homepage*** |

We are very pleased to announce that we have updated our homepage to sport a fresher, cleaner, more modern look. The homepage has grown over the years, so as we bring the Christmas decorations down, we thought it was a good opportunity to give it a makeover.
So what are the changes?
- We’ve put a lot of effort into making the homepage more cohesive and balanced.
- The homepage is now easier to scan. Buyers will able to see at a glance the different elements and where they are.
- Buyers can easily make a decision as to what part of the page is important and where they want to click. Previously you sometimes had to hunt for some of the great content that’s available. Now it’s much easier to find what you are looking for.
- We’ve grouped logical areas together - for example putting eBay Express, Motors and Shops together at the top.
- We’ve updated the merchandise to be more appealing to our buyers. The site is filled with wonderful items, and this allows us to surface them much better.
- We’ve lined everything up, given the page some curves, trimmed it down and a given it the modern feel it deserves.
What have we added?
- EBay for Charity, which we think is one of the most appealing parts of eBay has also been given a bit of a makeover. By moving it into the middle of the page with a larger space, we can let you know about the wonderful work sellers and charities are doing on eBay for good causes.
- We also know how important safety is on eBay. So we now have a permanent space for us to talk to both buyers and sellers on how to trade safely on eBay. We work hard to keep eBay a safe place to shop, and we want to be able to help our members stay safe.
- We have also introduced “Look at This”, a feature that will highlight an area of the site that we feel helps make eBay the fun and interesting place it is.
We’re all really excited by these changes. We hope you like them too and look forward to reading your feedback on the community boards.
Regards,
The eBay.co.uk Team
