    ***Coming soon: Item Numbers Expanding***

    18 May, 2006 | 08:06PM BST

Over time, we will be increasing the number of digits included in our item numbers from 10 to 19 to ensure the site can accommodate the growing number of listings.

The first increase will take place towards the end of May 2006. Current item numbers will not be impacted, but after this change, all new listings will have item numbers in the 11-digit range.

After a few weeks, the number of digits will increase again and all new listings will have item numbers in the 12-digit range.

We encourage sellers to check their business tools - such as spreadsheets, letter and label templates - to make sure they can handle item numbers with increased digits. If you use specialised software applications for listing and managing item data, please check with your developer to make sure they can support item numbers up to 19 digits.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this digit expansion and will keep you informed as the dates for these changes approach.

    Regards,
    The eBay.co.uk and eBay.ie Teams

    05 May, 2006 | 07:22PM BST

During the past year we've worked with you to make improvements to Turbo Lister, our free listing tool that helps make listing items in bulk on eBay faster and easier. We greatly appreciate the time thousands of you took to try out the early release versions and send us your feedback.

We are very pleased to be able to announce that the finished version of this product is now available.

Those of you that have already downloaded the trial version will be able to update it by going to Tools > Check for Programme Updates and following the instructions. If you have not yet downloaded the new Turbo Lister programme we encourage you to do so and check out its enhanced features:

    • Easier listing process – Now you can create listings within a single page. You can also customise the options you want to see on the page, allowing you to look only at the fields that you use.
