One of eBay’s top priorities is to make postage and shipping as clear and simple as possible for both buyers and sellers.
It’s particularly important that buyers can identify clearly what postage costs they will incur when purchasing an item. As a result, we will shortly (next week) display the postage costs for each listing automatically as a separate column in all search results and listings pages (it is already possible to do this, but members need to change their display settings manually).
This change will save buyers time by allowing them to understand the total price of an item before clicking into the item page itself, and will give them greater visibility of what postage costs are likely to be once they have won an item. (Buyers who prefer not to see shipping costs displayed will be able to opt out by using the ‘Customise Display’ link near the top of search results and listings pages.)
Sellers who enter flat rate postage costs in the Sell Your Item form or via listing tools will have this amount displayed in the postage column. If you offer more than one postage option, the first one that you offer will be displayed.
