How do I qualify to enter?

It’s simple. The promotion is split into five promotional periods, and for each period we have chosen special ‘hot categories’. To qualify to enter the competition, you have to have either bought or sold in these categories during the relevant promotional period.

What do I do once I have bought or sold my item?

Once you’ve won or sold your item successfully, go to the competition page and click the red ‘Enter Now’ button. You will then be asked a question, and given four options. Each option has a link going to either a category on the site or a pre-determined search string. Use the listings in the category or search results to answer the question, press submit.

We hope that this will help you explore the hundreds of interesting categories and discover a multitude of treasures that you might never have dreamt are available on eBay.

For example, we might ask you which film an actress has appeared in. The four answer options will link to different categories across the DVD and Video categories. Using the listings in the category, you will be able to work out the answer.
