******PayPal Homepage Beta Test ****** |
 |
 |
 |
June 27, 2007 | 04:43PM a SGT
We’re trying out a new look and feel! As one of our goals to continually improve the user experience on PayPal, making it safer and simpler to pay and be paid online, we're redesigning our Home Page.
The test of the new home page is now in process and we invite you to participate in this beta. Here is an overview of some of the changes which we are testing:
New home pages & navigation to better guide you. Personal or Business? Products & Services? Based on significant user input, we developed different home page designs, each with information that is better tailored to specific user needs.
Site-wide Search. The new home pages include the ability to search the entire PayPal site for information you need.
Improved content. New users, in particular, told us they wanted clearer, more concise content on our home page. We took this input to heart, and we think the new designs showcase better content.
Your Input Counts – Join the beta test by visiting www.paypal.com and clicking on the ‘Preview the New Homepage' link at the top of the page. Please note that the beta test is only available in English. To provide your input, click on the 'Site Feedback' link in the footer of the homepage or Account Overview page. Your comments will help us make improvements before launching the final versions of the home page.
Thank you for helping us test drive the new PayPal home pages and stay tuned for more improvements coming soon.
Looking forward to your input!

*****PayPal Increases Buyer Protection for International Purchases ***** |
 |
 |
 |
June 07, 2007 | 06:24PM a SGT
PayPal’s Buyer Protection Programme is designed to protect buyers shopping online.
For even greater peace of mind, on June 7th, we’re enhancing our Buyer Protection Programme to cover a wider range of international transactions than ever before. Maximum protection coverage will be increased - double the previous amounts in some countries (up to USD$2,000 on eBay.com) - for qualifying international items listed and paid for with PayPal. In addition, we’ve added another programme tier for qualifying sellers to offer Buyer Protection on their international listings. Conditions apply.
Coverage amounts will vary based on the site where you purchased your item. To determine eligibility and coverage on your item(s), look for the PayPal logo in the ‘Buy Safely’ section of the item description page.
Learn more about coverage amounts and qualification criteria.
Please note that the PayPal Buyer Protection Programme currently only covers eligible international purchases (sites other than eBay.com.sg) which are paid using PayPal. Other payment methods or items purchased on eBay.com.sg will not be covered under PayPal’s policy. However, for eBay.com.sg purchases, your item may be eligible for protection under eBay’s Standard Purchase Protection Programme (SPPP) with coverage up to a maximum of SG$330, minus a SG$42 processing fee.
