In addition, Google and eBay will work together to deliver “click-to-call” advertising functionality on eBay and Google sites in the United States and around the world. “Click-to-call” functionality enables online consumers to initiate an Internet voice call to merchants or advertisers directly.

The companies will start testing initiatives of the agreement beginning in early 2007, after the 2006 holiday shopping period.

Taking into account suggestions from the community as well as looking at trends in the retail industry, we will be creating new categories and making significant changes to the category structure on eBay.com.sg. These changes will be rolled out week of 14 August 2006. Here are some of the main changes to look out for:

New categories:

  A long-standing demand for a Tickets category has been fulfilled! Look out for it under Everything Else.

  We’ve broken Electronics & Computers down into two categories to make way for a host of new sub-categories such as Air Purifers, Clocks, CD Players, Hard Drives, Webcams and much more.

• Toys & Hobbies
• Mobile & Home Phones
• Clothing, Shoes & Accessories

We’ve made many refinements within almost every sub-category in the categories mentioned above, so start exploring the additions. Shopping and selling on eBay has never been easier!
