***Making it easier to recover listings***

March 26, 2008 | 02:56PM a MYT

We are pleased to announce the launch of a new feature that will enable sellers to correct listings that have been removed due to policy violations.

Most listing violations are unintentional, yet because the listings are completely removed from the site, sellers are unable to make the required corrections and relist quickly. Instead, sellers have to recreate the listing. However, a few policies are excluded such as severe banned items (e.g firearms, narcotics, etc…) and VeRO violations for potentially counterfeit items.

Starting today, listings removed for policy violation will be saved in the ‘Unsold’ section of My eBay with a clear indication that the listing was cancelled. Sellers will receive a note in My Messages explaining why the listing was removed and the policy that it violated. Sellers can then edit the listing and relist the item accordingly (or delete it). Of course, sellers should ensure that their revised listing is now in compliance with the law and all eBay policies.

Regards,
The eBay Team
