At eBay, along with my team we try to ensure that we effectively help our members. We further ensure that the PaisaPay operations run smoothly to provide both buyers and sellers a great user experience. Over the last 6 months, some of the key changes we have made in this direction are:
- Implemented 3D secure on eBay India: This significantly reduced the rate of pending transactions with PaisaPay. If there are buyers who are not able to complete the transaction because their card is not 3D secure, we call them to help them get their cards verified and complete the transaction.
- Reduced seller’s workload of following up with buyers: Our sellers might have often come across buyers who require lot of follow up before they make the payment. We took up the responsibility of following up with them so that our sellers can focus on their business activity.
- Faster Access to Customer Support: In our effort to be easily accessible to our members, we increased our visibility on more pages like Seller Home Page, Global EasyBuy pages etc.

One of our key initiative, in the short term, is to improve the Buyer Protection process and make it a lot more faster. Stay tuned for more on this.

Having said the above, I also believe that we still have a long way to go to deliver on the high expectations of our members. On Thursday, Oct 1st from 12 PM -1 PM, I shall be available on this thread to hear and understand your requirements such that we can bring further improvements in the Customer Support team and operations process.

The changes of Seller Release 2 are now live on site. Following is a quick summary of changes that will impact users selling on eBay India site.

More control over international ship-to locations: Sellers selling to international buyers can choose to exclude countries they do not wish to ship an item. For example, if you ship to Europe, but do not want to ship to Italy or Russia, you can select Russia from the Exclude locations options available during listing. Make sure that the Buyer Requirement “Block buyers from countries I do not ship to” is been selected when you exclude countries.

Edit Live Items: You can now edit almost everything in fixed price live listings even after you have a sale on the item. If you need to add quantity, modify the item price, edit the description, modify shipping costs etc, you don’t need to end and recreate the listing. You can simply revise your live listings. Buyers who had previously bought the item will have an option to see the earlier version of the listing.

Edit in bulk: You can now use the bulk edit feature to edit live listings and unsold listings. Some enhancements to the bulk features include the ability to find and replace text from the Item description. This can be done across multiple items at one time. Add listing upgrades, modify costs, item quantity, payment terms etc for multiple items at one go. Save time!

Shipping Insurance Option not available: The buyer shipping insurance option will not be available to sellers anymore. If you wish to charge shipping insurance for an item, you may want to include it in your product or shipping cost.

The changes related to 30 day duration listing and Shop pricing are now live to site:

30 day Fixed Price (Buy it Now) listing duration available for all sellers including shop subscribers. The charges for 30 day listing will be Re. 1. Non shop subscribers will be charged additional duration fee of Rs. 3 for the format.

Greater value for shop sellers: All shop listings are now part of the main search results thereby increased exposure to shop listings. Shop listings will also get the benefit of discounted feature fee. Given the increased benefits of a shop, the revised subscription fee for a shop will be as follows:

If you have transacted between August 27 2009 - September 2 2009, have paid through ICICI bank credit card and had wanted to use EMI mode, please write to our Customer Support Team with your PaisaPay id. We will ensure that the payment gets converted into EMI mode.
