Starting February 24, 2009 the India service tax rate has changed from 12% to 10%. This new change has been implemented on eBay as follows:

For all eBay fees the service tax has been computed at the new rate of 10% for all invoices generated on or after Feb 24, 2009.

For PaisaPay fees, the old service tax rate has been charged from February 24, 2009 to March 2, 2009. You will receive a credit for the excess tax in your account by March 10, 2009.

You might see the old tax rate mentioned in a few areas on the site; we are working to make this change.
