Hello Everyone,
I'm Vidmay Naini, Manager, Trust & Safety, eBay India. As most of our community members would be aware that we had announced a couple of changes to our Feedback system on 31st January and we are glad to have an update on one of the changes announced on this post.
Repeat Feedback credit for sellers and buyers
Members can now leave Feedback for each other more than once and this Feedback may count towards members' overall Feedback Scores. This change gives sellers and buyers the opportunity to earn up to one Feedback point per week from the same trading partner.
Members have always been able to leave repeat Feedback for each other, but that Feedback was only calculated in members' Feedback Scores once. This was the plan to keep Feedback fair and useful for the entire community.
With this change, now sellers will get the credit they deserve for great service which results in repeat buyers. They can also reward loyal buyers with repeat Feedback. To help keep Feedback Scores fair with our revised approach, members can now leave Feedback again, and, as long as the same transacting members are leaving Feedback for transactions occurring in separate weeks, the repeat Feedback will be calculated in members' Feedback Scores.
For example: A buyer wins an item on Tuesday, then receives it and gives the seller positive Feedback on Thursday. If the buyer wins another item that week with the same seller, the Feedback left by the buyer on Thursday will not count towards the seller's Feedback Score. But if the buyer wins another item the following Tuesday, the Feedback will count toward the seller's Feedback Score.
Repeat Feedback is a great way for buyers to reward their favorite sellers with the recognition they deserve. The one-week limit helps keep the system fair and makes sure that buyers and sellers and their Feedback continue to help keep eBay a safe and fun place to buy and sell.
Be sure to leave Feedback for every transaction. And remember — as long as your repeat transactions occur in separate weeks, your Feedback will be calculated in the other member's Feedback Score. Learn More.
You'll also be seeing a newly redesigned Feedback Profile Page when you click on the Feedback score next to any eBay member ID. The revamped Feedback Profile contains all the information of the earlier design, but we've organized it to help you see the relevant information that matters most when you're buying or selling.
All the other changes announced in this post will be rolled out in the month of May. We will keep the community updated on the same.

***Resolution of SM/SM Pro issues*** |

Dear Sellers,
We are glad to inform you that most of the issues pertaining to SM / SM Pro has been resolved. We would like to thank our sellers for being patient and co-operative while we could resolve the issues with SM/SM Pro tools.
Specifics of the issues are as below:
- SM / SM Pro shipping icon not showing as item shipped despite shipping details entered for the item through My PaisaPay.
The shipping icon now displays correctly in SM / SM Pro for items that have been shipped.
- Sales Record is not reflecting the correct shipping address in a few cases.
Sales record now displays the correct address selected by the buyer at the time of checkout.
Besides the above issues we are also working towards making buyers' telephone number available in SM / SM Pro which currently is not available.
Also we would like to take this opportunity to answer some queries we have received in regards to functioning of the shipping icon for multiple items order. As a functionality in case of a multiple item order, if the seller provides shipping details for one item, and has not provided shipping details for the other items in the order the shipping icon will not be highlighted in SM / SM Pro. The shipping icon will be highlighted only once the shipping details have been entered for all the items in the order.

ProPack is available for all Fixed Price, Auction and Ad format listings on eBay.in.
Apart from the above launch of Pro Pack I would also like to update the sellers on the Picture Show feature.
Picture Show lets buyers to browse your item's pictures or run them in a slide show at the top of the item page.We are happy to announce that this feature goes FREE and now all listings with 2 or more pictures will automatically have this widget on their View Item pages.

Hi everyone,
We, Meherzad and Ravi, work in the Creative Design and User Insights functions respectively, and are constantly trying to find out ways to make your experience on eBay more fun and engaging.
Since the eBay homepage is really like the front door to eBay, we want to make sure that people's first impressions of the site are fantastic. As part of that endeavour, we have created a new Home page after more than a year of rigorous analysis and testing. (Some users might have seen the pages as we ran tests on a 10% sample).
We have developed 4 new pages for our various segments:
- Visitors
- Bidders and Buyers
- New Sellers
- Established Sellers
The content for each segment has been customized keeping in mind the requirements of that particular segment. Plus, we've streamlined the information we display, so new and existing members feel invited to explore a number of interesting areas – without being overwhelmed with too much information coming at you all at once.
We hope to go live in the next one week. You can see screenshots of the different pages below.

After this post, we received a lot of queries. Here are some clarifications which address the questions asked:
In 2008, one of the marketing team’s key initiatives is to provide a fantastic buying experience to our large pool of visitors so that they turn into loyal buyers. To aid that objective, we are creating a new theme property called eBay Best Sellers. eBay Best Sellers shall showcase 300 of the hottest, In-demand products offered by sellers on our site, at unbeatable prices. These products shall be showcased in a special landing page which shall be heavily promoted on the www.ebay.in homepage, through our external partners and through other forms of media—both online and offline.
The Conditions for sellers to be included within eBay Best Sellers are as follows:
They should offer one or more than one of the items identified among the Top 300 (the complete list of items can be found here)
Item Conditions:
- Price - Best price across all Indian shopping sites (Prices should be all inclusive of VAT and all other levies applicable. Buyer should have the flexibility to opt-in or opt out of paying for Insurance)
- Product Condition – New, with original boxed packaging and all relevant manuals and documentation
- Product Format -It should definitely be listed as Fixed Price (It may be listed under Auctions also)
- Shipping - Free Nationwide Shipping
- Delivery Time - A maximum of 7 days after payment confirmation
- Return Policy - Manufacturer Warranty OR 14 day Return should be offered. In addition, dealer warranty may also be offered
- Payment Options – Paisapay should be one of the options offered
Any sellers violating any of these above condition, post launch of the promotion, would be removed from the property indefinitely.

- Increased Sales and GMV due to greater visibility

If you choose to pay the seller through other payment methods like Cheque, DD etc, the dispatch of the product would happen only after the payment is realized. Hence, these payment methods would increase the time taken to receive the product.

This property will be launched, tentatively, in a week’s time.
As the objective of this property is to ensure an excellent buying experience for new buyers, seller participation in this would be restricted to sellers fulfilling the following conditions:
Feedback Score greater than 50 and eBay registered member for more than 3 months
No Active restriction on the eBay user ID due to policy violations or non payment of any charges levied by eBay AG
Current Open eBay Disputes < 5
We invite all our sellers fulfilling the above criteria to be a part of this promotion. Please find a tentative list of products here. We would be periodically refreshing the list of products also

eBay has made some important announcements regarding pricing, the Power Seller Program changes & incentives for Power Sellers applicable only to the eBay sites in US, UK and DE. More details are available here. The Feedback changes are applicable across all eBay sites and details impacting eBay India site are available here.
Indian PowerSellers who list on eBay.com, eBay.co.uk and eBay.de will get the same pricing benefits as qualified US, UK and DE PowerSellers, as long as they meet the eligibility criteria as outlined by the US, UK and DE Power Seller programmes. The program benefits will be applicable only on items listed & sold on those specific eBay site viz. eBay.com, eBay.co.uk and eBay.de.
We will be updating the site with more details on the upcoming changes so stay tuned for further announcements.
