Hi everyone… this is Guenter Wiesinger from the Seller Experience team.
We're making a few minor look-and-feel changes to the Sell Your Item (SYI) form,
to help make the listing process a bit easier:
Making it easier to find a suitable category for your item
Previously, while trying to pick a suitable category for listing your item,
you would see a list of options with the top-level categories often repeated
in the list. Starting this week, we're organizing category choices under top-level
categories, so you can select the right one(s) for your item.
Please see the side-by-side comparison below to get an idea of the changes.

Now, grouping
choices under top-level categories (right)
makes category selection easier than before (left).

Cleaner layout for product search results
Previously, when you entered your item keywords to match with eBay's catalog,
you would see a long list of choices organized in alphabetical order. You would
sometimes have to scroll down a long way down the page to find your item.
In a few weeks, in some categories we will organize the display of catalog
items in order of popularity on eBay, so that the majority of sellers will find
it easier to match their items quickly. We'll also display catalog choices in
two columns, to reduce scrolling down the page.
Please see the side-by-side comparison below to get an idea of the changes.

Before (left):

shown by popularity on eBay and in two columns to reduce scrolling.

We'll also be making a few more similar changes to the layout of SYI in the
upcoming weeks. I'll be back soon to update you.
Sincerely,
Guenter Wiesinger
