The CPSC also issued a Consumer Alert about remote-controlled helicopters and airplanes in general stating that they are concerned with emerging fire hazard from the battery technology being used with these toys. The CPSC is urging consumers to follow manufacturer’s instructions when charging toys that contain rechargeable lithium batteries.
