***Some eBay Items Showing Incorrect Item Specifics***

26 May, 2008 | 10:58

Some eBay items listed after May 21 on the U.S. site and after May 23 on all other sites are showing incorrect Item Specifics as well as unintended characters, such as "+", "%", and "&" signs in the Item Specifics area. We have resolved the issue as of 3:00am PT today, such that this incorrect information will not display on new eBay listings. However, items with incorrect or garbled Item Specifics may still be appearing on the site.

Sellers: If your item is currently displaying incorrect or garbled Item Specifics, you may fix this by using the Revise Your Item link on the item page or by selecting this in the dropdown menu next to your item in My eBay. Once in the Revise Your Item flow, you can use the "Remove" button to delete the incorrect Item Specifics, and/or modify what is displaying there to reflect correct information. We strongly encourage sellers to check their listings and revise any which may be displaying incorrectly.

Buyers: When you contemplate bidding on or buying any item, please rely on the information provided by the seller in the item description, rather than depending solely on the information shown in the Item Specifics area. If you have any question about the item, please contact the seller via the Ask Seller a Question link on the item page.

We apologize for the confusion and frustration this issue may have caused, and thank you for your patience while we resolved it.
