Hello everyone…this is Rob Chesney, VP of eBay Motors. Our Vehicle Purchase Protection program is the cornerstone of our commitment to deliver a good buying experience on eBay Motors. The peace of mind it provides is one of the many reasons eBay Motors is considered the best place to buy a car online.
Starting today, we’re expanding the coverage offered so that buyers of eligible vehicles will be protected for up to $50,000 against losses associated with misrepresentation and fraud – that’s more than double the coverage we previously provided. In addition, we’re removing the $100 fee, so this coverage will be absolutely free. Finally, we’re extending the Canadian Program to cover more vehicle types, including motorcycles, boats, RVs, and snowmobiles.
Just like before, buyers will automatically be enrolled in the program when they complete the purchase of an eligible vehicle on eBay Motors.
