Have you ever been unsure what to charge for shipping a package, and as a result, did not including shipping costs in your eBay listings? Ever lost money by undercharging for shipping, or perhaps lost potential sales by overcharging for shipping?
Hi everyone, this is Ira Grossman from eBay's Shipping team. I’m thrilled to be able to address the above shipping cost questions and finally announce that in the next few weeks, we will be launching eBay Canada’s Shipping Calculator, a free and easy-to-use feature that will allow you to easily include shipping costs in your listings on ebay.ca (in English or French).
Calculated shipping will allow you to:
Automatically calculate and display accurate Canada Post domestic, US and international shipping costs in the item listing and eBay search results, based on the buyer's location;
Research domestic, US and international Canada Post shipping services and costs, based on your item’s weight, dimensions, and location.
Calculated shipping will help you:
Increase sales. Listings that include calculated shipping costs are more likely to end in a sale.
Improve efficiency. The need to manually research and calculate shipping costs is eliminated.
Save time. Emails from buyers about shipping costs will be reduced.
Speed up checkout. Pre-filled shipping details make it easy and quick for buyers to checkout.
Build customer loyalty. Up-front, accurate shipping costs enhance the buyer's experience, building trust and chances of repeat purchases.
