I wanted to give everyone an update on the issue with Canada Post’s International Air Small Packets service when using eBay’s Online Shipping Tool. To summarize, members who try to print a Canada Post shipping label using the International Air Small Packets service may receive the error message: “The shipment option you have chosen is invalid. Please verify the amount you have entered.” The issue has been identified and we are working to fix it as quickly as possible. We estimate having the service available again sometime between June 22 – July 6, 2006. If you prefer to ship using Small Packets International Air at this time, I would suggest visiting your local post office to help complete this service transaction. If you are attempting to print a Canada Post shipping label using the International Air Small Packets service, you will likely receive an error message like this one: “The shipment option you have chosen is invalid. Please verify the amount you have entered.” At this time, you will not be able to proceed in printing a shipping label using this service. We are aware of this issue and are working to fix it as soon as possible. While the International Air Small Packets service option is currently not functioning, you can still choose one of two Canada Post services for your international shipments via the eBay online shipping tool: International Surface Small Packets or Xpresspost-International. If you prefer to ship using Small Packets International Air at this time, I would suggest visiting your local post office to help complete this service transaction.
