Erin Sufrin

Hi, my name is Erin Sufrin and I work with charities at eBay Canada.

eBay Canada is pleased to offer support to charitable fundraising in Canada via the eBay Canada Charity Fee Credit Policy, which enable registered Canadian charities listing on www.ebay.ca for the purpose of fundraising, to receive a credit for Insertion, Gallery and Final Value Fees.

Please note as of June 1, 2006, registered Canadian charities must complete the following steps in order to receive a fee credit for their charity listings:

  1. Ensure you have submitted the Charity Registration and Promotion Form prior to your auction. Only organizations who submit this form will be eligible for the eBay Canada Charity Fee Credit.
  2. For efficient processing of your charity credits ensure you have the following information handy:
    • eBay user ID for your registered Canadian charity
    • item number(s)
  3. At the end of your auction contact the eBay CA Billing support team by clicking here
  4. On the following page, click the “Email Us” link under the Contact Customer Support section to be taken to a blank form. Please complete the form as requested.

Please allow 48 to 72 hours for processing of your fee credit. You will be notified via email once the credit is complete.

Over the past ten years, more than US$59 million has been raised for charitable organizations through listings on the eBay Marketplace – there’s never been a better time to put the power of eBay to work!

Additional Information:

  • Reserve fees and optional Feature fees are not included in the fee credit, with the exception of Gallery.
  • Qualified listings must comply with eBay Canada's Charity Fundraising Listing Policy.
  • Registered Canadian Charities refer to organizations that can provide their Canadian charity registration number and are in good standing with the Canada Revenue Agency. Groups involved in the promotion of terrorism, hate, racial intolerance, or illegal activities will be disallowed.
  • A registered Canadian charity may appoint an auction management agent to list on their behalf as long as a registered Canadian charity has only one auction management agent selling on their behalf at any one time.

Please review the Charity Fundraising Information and FAQ pages for more information.

Regards,

Erin Sufrin
