Entrepreneurs are setting up shop on eBay in record numbers and are turning to eBay to access the buyers, equipment, supplies and resources they need to start, operate and grow their businesses internationally.

To honour the hundreds of thousands of individuals selling full-time or part-time on eBay, eBay Canada is pleased to announce the launch of the Second Annual Canadian Entrepreneur of the Year Awards!

First prize is: C$5,000
Second Prize: C$2,000
Third Prize: C$1,000
All prizes awarded in Canadian dollars and deposited into winner’s valid PayPal account.

Have you got what it takes?
To qualify, eligible members must meet the following criteria between April 1, 2006 and July 31, 2006:

1. Achieve a minimum of C$1,000 in sales per month on eBay.ca/eBay.com or the sites combined
2. Post a minimum of ten listings per month on eBay.ca/eBay.com or the sites combined
3. Have at least 98% positive feedback.

In addition, individuals simply need to register for the competition and answer the following questions during the entry period August 1, 2006 to August 20, 2006. An online registration form will be made available beginning August 1, 2006 at http://pages.ebay.ca/entrepreneurs/.

Winners will be announced during Canadian Small Business Week (October, 2006).
