eBay Canada has recently enhanced its charity platform to further support the generosity of the eBay community via the eBay Canada Charity Fee Credit Policy.
As of October 20, 2005 (12:01 AM ET), when a registered Canadian charity lists on www.ebay.ca for the purpose of fundraising, eBay Canada will credit the Insertion, Gallery and Final Value Fees back to the charity in the listing.
Over the past ten years, more than US$40 million has been raised for charitable organizations through listings on the eBay Marketplace. eBay Canada is pleased to be able to offer additional support to charitable fundraising in Canada.
Example:
A registered Canadian charity "Canada Gives" lists a jacket on www.ebay.ca

Additional Information:
- Reserve fees and optional Feature fees are not included in the fee credit, with the exception of Gallery.
- Qualified listings must comply with eBay Canada's Charity Fundraising Listing Policy.
- Registered Canadian Charities refer to organizations that can provide their Canadian charity registration number and are in good standing with the Canada Revenue Agency. Groups involved in the promotion of terrorism, hate, racial intolerance, or illegal activities will be disallowed.
- A registered Canadian charity may appoint an auction management agent to list on their behalf as long as a registered Canadian charity has only one auction management agent selling on their behalf at any one time.
