***Updated: Listing the Apple iPhone 5 on eBay.com.au***

14 September 2012 | 11:22AM EST

With the launch of the Apple iPhone 5 just around the corner, guidelines are now in place to help meet buyer demand while also promoting eBay sellers who deliver excellent customer service. Learn how you can list these highly-anticipated devices.

Apple iPhone 5 presales
Most sellers will be allowed to list an Apple iPhone 5 during the pre-sale period prior to the launch date of September 21, as long as they are in full compliance with eBay's Presale policy. Also:

  • Apple authorised resellers will be allowed to list up to 25 items per week.
  • eBay Top-rated sellers will be allowed to list up to 4 items per week.
  • All sellers meeting minimum performance standards will be allowed to list 1 item per week.
  • All sellers must upload tracking upon postage

Note: Sellers not meeting minimum performance standards or have yet to have completed a successful selling transaction on eBay will not be allowed to list the Apple iPhone 5 during the pre-sale period.

Apple iPhone 5 Product Post-Launch Sales

Once the Apple iPhone 5 is made available to the public in Australia on September 21, most sellers will be allowed to list an Apple iPhone 5 with limitations:

  • Apple authorised resellers will be allowed to list an unlimited number of items per week.
  • eBay Top-rated sellers will be allowed to list up to 8 items per week.
  • All sellers meeting minimum performance standards will be allowed to list 4 items per week.
  • All sellers that have not completed a successful selling transaction on eBay will be able to list 1 item per week
  • All sellers must upload tracking upon postage

Note: Sellers not meeting minimum performance standards or have yet to have completed a successful selling transaction on eBay will not be allowed to list the Apple iPhone 5 during the post launch sale period.

Apple iPhone 5 Domain Name and Email Address Sales
Sellers offering Apple iPhone 5 related domain names or email addresses for sale on eBay will be allowed up to 4 listings per week.

eBay prohibits unauthorised replica or counterfeit items, if a seller cannot verify the authenticity of an item, it can't be listed on eBay. Any selling activity that appears to mislead buyers may result in limitations to selling activity, including account suspension.

The eBay team

***Updated: Announcing a new look for eBay***

14 September 2012 | 08:38AM EST

The world of commerce is changing, and eBay is evolving with it.

Over the past few years, weve made significant improvements to our global marketplace, offering a cleaner, more contemporary and consistent experience, with innovation that makes buying and selling easier and more enjoyable. We've delivered more buyers to you. Your inventory is now available to more than 100 million active users around the world.

Our business has grown and evolved, and we felt it was time for a change. We have refreshed our logo to reflect who we are today and symbolise our dynamic future. This wasn't a decision we made lightly. We are proud of our rich history. That's why our new logo retains core elements, including the typeface and iconic color palette, representing our diverse global community.

We are sharing this news with you, because we value how much you contribute to our global community. In October, we will make the logo available, subject to our usage guidelines.

We thank you for the incredible, world-class experiences you bring to eBay buyers. After 17 years, there's still nothing like eBay.

You can learn more about our new logo and hear from eBay President Devin Wenig here.
