***New listing policy for free ticketed events***

25 October 2010 | 03:07PM EST

eBay will be implementing policy changes to prohibit the sale of tickets on eBay.com.au for certain events for which all the tickets are free, such as free concerts or free promotional or charity events.

In order for an event to be covered by these changes, we will ask event organisers to notify us at least one month in advance of tickets being made available to the public and we will keep you updated on which events the policy will apply to via this announcement board.

Further information on the policy can be found here.

Regards,
The eBay Team

***Multi-variant listing format is live***

06 October 2010 | 12:29PM EST

As announced earlier this year, sellers can now combine multiple product variants such as size and colour into one listing. The new multi-variant listing format will be available in the Clothing, Shoes & Accessories, Baby and Sports categories, saving sellers both time and money by only completing one listing, with no additional listing fees.

This feature is already available on other international eBay sites. Here’s an example from eBay.com:

The full list of categories multi-variant will be available in can be found here..

***Coming soon – new homepage for eBay.com.au***

01 October 2010 | 09:54AM EST

Millions of Australians come to eBay every month and the eBay.com.au homepage is often among the first place they visit. Establishing a great first impression is important and means that we need to keep the homepage fresh, exciting and relevant to ensure those buyers keep coming back.

As a result, from 6 October 2010 you will begin to see a new eBay.com.au homepage. While many features on the current page will remain the same, you may notice some changes, including an increased focus on products and imagery to help inspire shoppers when they first visit the site. We hope you like it!

Regards,
The eBay Team
