***Improvements to the Sell Your Item form ***

11 October 2007 | 02:09PM EST

You know we’re working hard to make eBay easier, more fun and engaging for our members. We’ve introduced new products, updated our homepage and revamped My Messages, and we're only just getting started. Today, we’re pleased to announce some exciting improvements to the Sell Your Item (SYI) form .

Thanks to the feedback we've received from many of our sellers, we’ve made the form a little more fresh, funky and functional.

Here’s a rundown of what you can expect to see over the next few weeks.

Easier customisation options
One of the best things about the SYI form is that you have the ability to customise it to suit you’re selling habits. If you don't accept money orders for example, you can modify the form so you won’t see that option again. How you customise the form though, is where you’ve told us things can get a little difficult? We went back to the drawing board and you’ll soon find the customisation section more accessible and much more intuitive. In particular, look for an improved set-up that allows you to customise the postage section.

New uploader for pictures
Pictures are an important part of any listing, and we wanted to make the process of uploading your photos and images as smooth as possible. The new SYI form will allow you to use a Flash-based uploading tool that has a slick user interface, a real-time progress meter that lets you monitor your uploads, and advanced technology that makes it reliable across a variety of computer platforms.

Improvements to the postage section
There’s also some big improvements to the postage section of the form. We’re streamlining the entire section, making it less cluttered and ensuring it will be easier to customise.

Happy selling,
The eBay Team
