In March we will pilot Feedback 2.0 in Australia. Feedback 2.0 will help buyers feel more confident about a seller’s reputation, and rewards good sellers by recognising the things they do to ensure customer satisfaction.
Feedback 2.0 adds a new dimension to eBay’s reputation system, allowing buyers to rate specific transaction aspects, to help provide more detail on their transaction experience.
These features add to the current positive, negative or neutral ratings and comments and will not affect a sellers overall feedback score or percentage.
Detailed Seller Ratings – Buyers will have the option to rate the sellers on
- Item description
- Communication,
- Delivery time,
- Postage & Packing charges.
The Ratings are based on a 1 to 5 scale, with 1 being the lowest and 5 being the highest rating. The average of all ratings is displayed on the seller’s Feedback Profile page.
Item Title and Price – To give buyers more information while they are evaluating the reputation of a seller, the transaction’s item title and selling price will display beneath each Feedback comment on the Feedback Profile page for a period of 90 days.
A trial conducted in 2006 resulted in a high rate of usage of this new feature. This is important as it eliminates potential negative impact to a seller’s score based on the occasional low rating they may receive for actions outside of their control.
Feedback 2.0 will also be available in the following eBay markets: United Kingdom, Belgium, France, India, Ireland, Italy and Poland.
For further information please read the Overview of Detailed Seller Ratings and frequently asked questions.
