***Now Available: Skype buttons on item pages in some categories***

02 November 2006 | 02:12PM EST

Today we are announcing a new option for sellers to put Skype buttons on listings within certain categories. Adding Skype to your listing is a way to help build buyer trust and resolve questions quickly and easily.

Starting today, Skype will be available to add to listings in Cars (#29690), Motorcycles (#32073), Boats & Watercraft (#72535) and Other Vehicles (#33752) on www.eBay.com.au and www.eBaymotors.com.au.

Skype in listings is intended to help buyers and sellers complete faster and safer transactions. It is not intended for completing transactions off eBay, which is against policy*. The benefits of feedback and Buyer Protection only apply for transactions completed on eBay using Bid, Buy It Now, or Best Offer.

Remember, when you buy a car on www.eBaymotors.com.au, you may be covered for up to $20,000 by our Vehicle Purchase Protection.

How to add Skype When you use the Sell Your Item form to list in one of these categories, you'll be able to choose to add either a Chat or Voice button (or both) to your listings. Buyers just need to click on the buttons, register for Skype (if they haven't already done so) and then send their message. It's fast, it's easy, and it's free.

Regards,
The eBay Team

*Except for Classified Ads, where there is no online transaction.
