***Important Notice: Daylight Saving Time***

23 March 2006 | 04:03PM EST

Due to the Commonwealth Games being held in Melbourne, daylight saving has been extended. On Sunday 2nd April at 03:00:00 Australian Eastern Daylight Saving Time (AEDST) will officially end in NSW, Australian Capital Territory, Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania. At this time the clocks will be put back by one hour and time will subsequently become Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST).

Queensland, Northern Territory and Western Australia do not observe daylight saving and remain on Eastern, Central and Western Standard Time respectively.

This will impact buyers and sellers using eBay.com.au in the following way:

Sellers, your listings will appear to end one hour early however they will run for the exact time period you choose. For example a three day listing will run for 72 hours (3 x 24 hours). Therefore, a three day listing that starts on Friday 31 March at 6am AEDST will end on Monday 3 April at 5am AEST – which is 72 hours in total given the clock is wound back an hour earlier that morning.

Buyers, please note that both the item "end date" and the watching "time left" takes into account this change so this time change will not impact your bidding or watching activity.

Regards,
The eBay Team
