***Commonwealth Games Tickets***

22 January 2006 | 06:00AM EST

Today we are announcing Australians with Melbourne Commonwealth Games (M2006) tickets they can no longer use can sell them on eBay.com.au at or below face value using the Buy It Now format only, in accordance with eBay’s M2006 Tickets policy. To view the policy, click here.

These measures are part of eBay’s M2006 Tickets policy, which has been developed in close consultation with the M2006 organisers and the Victorian Government.

This assists M2006 ticket holders with an easy way to re-sell tickets to events that they can no longer attend and allows buyers who missed tickets through the ballot system to confidently purchase tickets at face value.

The sale of M2006 tickets via eBay’s Buy It Now format together with the option of using online payments service PayPal.com.au provide members with a fast, convenient and safe method of purchasing tickets instantly.

Every month changes are made to the category structure on eBay.com.au to make it easier for members browsing eBay to find what they are looking for. These changes are based on feedback from the eBay community and from experts in the affected fields, so a big thanks to those members who wrote in!

This month there are some major changes in:

  • Beauty & Health
  • Books, Comics & Magazines
  • Crafts
  • Music
  • Musical Instruments
  • Sporting Goods
There are also some minor changes to other categories not mentioned here.

These changes are currently scheduled to go live this week and we encourage members to pay careful attention to which categories have changed and to update Turbo Lister. Existing listings may be moved as categories are split, moved, or renamed.

A complete list of the new category structure can be found in Seller Education here.

We always welcome community suggestions and incorporate them wherever possible. To submit a suggestion to eBay click here.

We are interested in your feedback on this and you are welcome to post your thoughts to the Round Table discussion board.
